Have you ever heard of the term hygge (pronounced HOO-GA)?!? Hygge is a Danish term that doesn’t have an exact translation. Hygge is a feeling or a mindset, not a thing or decor.

Hygge is that feeling you get playing boardgames in your PJs with friends.

Hygge is that essence of sitting by a fire (or the Fireplace for Your Home on Netflix) and reading a book you can’t take yourself away from.

Hygge is about feeling a moment, connecting with loved ones, slowing down, coziness, and being present.

We all could use some of that and we are going to try to help you with it.

Hygge on Anderson Street

We have been closed since March but we have transformed our outdoor seating area for ultimate hygge-ness. Following COVID protocols, we will be welcoming you and providing a fun place for you to gather and embrace what hygge has to offer. We have a propane heater, lots of twinkle, and fuzziness. We recommend you bring your favorite cozy blanket for ultimate hygge.

Starting November 14th we will be open 2 - 7 Fridays and 12 - 7 on Saturdays.

Mulled Wine

Mulled wine is really under-appreciated on this side of the pond and we want to change that. We will be serving mulled wine to folks out on our tables. We have two yummy recipes to warm you one with our meadow wine and one with bloom.

We are also teaming up with Union Kitchen for some individual charcuterie boxes for your to pair with your toasty beverages.

Winter ‘Market’ on Anderson Street

Europeans cities have elaborate winter markets. Rosy cheeked shoppers sip on mulled wine, snack on gingerbread, and shop for original and handmade gifts. We aren’t in Europe and 2020 has presented thousands of challenges but we want to harness the sentiment of a winter market and we want to introduce you to some talented local makers.

Each week we are going to feature one of our favorite local makers. For that week, you can shop their unique items on our Pick-Up & Delivery site and you can either pick your gifts up on Anderson Street or we will deliver them to you!

Hygge To-Go

You don’t need to be on Anderson Street to get your hygge on. We will deliver a starter kit to you. We will be delivering wine, mulled wine recipe cards, and a perfect cheese and cracker pairing so you can enjoy hygge at home or have a happy package delivered to someone who you know really needs a treat.
