FAQ
Do you ship your wines?
We use Vinoshipper to ship wine to select states. https://vinoshipper.com/shop/eighteen_twenty_wines
What other locations are your products available?
There is a list of places that carry our products on the Where to Buy page https://www.eighteentwentywines.com/where-to-buy
Where do you get your produce from?
We got our rhubarb from Dole's Orchard in Limington, Stonecipher Farm in Bowdoinham, and Spiller Farm in Wells.
Are your wines vegan?
Some wines can contain eggs, dairy, or fish products--typically used as additives to remove sediment from the wine. Our wines have absolutely no animal products whatsoever as we used a clarifying agent called Sparkalloid (which is made of diatomaceous earth) to remove the sediment and haze from our wines. Otherwise our wine ingredient list consists of: rhubarb juice, water, cane sugar, wine yeast, yeast nutrient, and potassium metabilsufite to keep it fresh in the bottle.
Are your wines organic?
Rhubarb is naturally pesticide free. Our rhubarb is grown organically but not on certified organic farms.
Are any of your wines fruit free?
Do you know someone with a fruit allergy? Rhubarb isn’t actually a fruit, it is a vegetable. If you are looking for wines that are fruit free, you can try victoria fête, or meadow. piquenique and bloom have fruit added.
