Tasting Room Opening - November 17th

The wait is over... the tasting room is opening!

Join us THIS Friday for our Grand Opening!

wines and ciders from eighteen twenty

Let's DO this! The feds, state, AND the City of Portland have given us the go ahead. We are beyond excited to have you in and to have you try these products we have been working so hard on.

Here is what we have going on:

For the near future, we will be open Fridays 4-7pm and Saturdays and Sundays 1-7pm. Opening night will be 11/17!

We are opening with four products for you to drink:

  • honeoye - wine made with rhubarb that has a blast of juicy red strawberry
  • wintrus - wine made with rhubarb and aged in oak cabernet barrels
  • ohm - dry, light, still hard cider made with native Maine apples
  • ohm's law - our ohm cider but aged in cinnamon whiskey barrels

Three of these products have never seen the light of day before. This is going to be fun! There are longer product descriptions on the homepage of our website if you want to wet your whistle before trying them.

We will only have tastings and glasses to start. We will not be able to sell anything by the bottle. All of these were made in very small batches.

We don't have any rha. We came to market (wholesale) with our flagship product this summer. We needed to sell all of it to get where we are today (alive and able to open the tasting room). Any rha you see will be like celebrity sightings and for photo purposes only.

Our address is 219 Anderson Street in Portland, Maine and we are Unit #1. Facing the building, we are the left side (blue side). There is a glass door and a lovely new ramp for you to enter. We don't have a sign yet, that is a different permit ;) Consider it like a cool speakeasy or something.

Take it easy on us. We are new here and will have to figure some details out as we go but... we can't wait to have you over and to figure it out together!

We will be posting more details on Facebook and Instagram. We also have some fun events planned for the next month or so but we will keep you posted as those are ready.

There you have it! Come on over and let's raise a glass to life, rhubarb, permitting, inspections, Maine, apples, dogs, drinking local... or whatever else you are into these days.
