What Pairs Well with Rhubarb Wine?

Obviously, we get this question a lot. We can't speak to all rhubarb wines, but we can speak to ours.

rha and wintrus both are dry wines with screaming acidity, which make for a nice balance. Acidity gives the wine the fresh and crispness and makes it pretty easy to pair with foods. 

Knowing that our rhubarb wines have that acidity, follow the usual rules for pairing with acidic wines. Think of what you might pair with a pinot grigio or vouvray - fatty or fried foods. The acidity will cut through the richness of the food and can act as a palate cleanser. 

We popped into Whole Foods and grabbed this Mitica Cana de Cabra ($4) and some prosciutto and it was delightful! Cana de Cabra is a buttery, soft-ripened cheese made from pasteurized goat's milk.
